The Nativity of Christ

The Nativity of Christ

"Christmas" is one of the main twelve-day holidays, considered the second most important after Easter. This holiday is established in memory of the Nativity of Jesus Christ from the Most Holy Virgin Mary in Bethlehem of Judea and is always celebrated on the same day — January 7 (December 25, old style). On this day, the Christmas fast ends and Yule begins — the time from Christmas to Epiphany.
